BUSINESS MANAGER, INSTITUTIONAL TEAM, ASSET MANAGEMENT C£50,000 PLUS EXCELLENT BENS & BONUS LONDON SW1
The Institutional business is currently being reworked because our client has decided to focus on the Institutional space and build its business in this area. It is an exciting time where there is lots of opportunity to add value. As a direct result an interesting new permanent opportunity has arisen for Business Manager to work on a variety of key projects. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Institutional Team.
This is a great role to learn more about the business (including the Company’s specialist businesses) and Institutional clients. There may also be the opportunity for the successful candidate to eventually go into a Sales Associate role or a junior Product Specialist position.
Responsibilities:
The projects will include:
- Compilation and analysis of MIS - Interfacing between the Sales & Marketing Function and M.I and Strategic Planning department.
- Timely completion of management reports.
- Identifying processes and functions where improved efficiencies can be implemented and managing the implementation of changes .
- Defining, designing and putting together a monthly MI report, collating the Institutional figures.
- Liaising with Finance to collate the information and understand the information. The successful candidate will then be required to brief the Managing Director, Institutional.
- Management Information – the incumbent will need to ensure that they understand all of the Internal Institutional data. For example, what's been sold? New Sales? Money left etc.? and relay to Managing Director, Institutional.
- Internal data systems - The project will involve analysing various data from internal systems and working with the Sales Team inputting the data to ensure that the data is reliable and talking the Managing Director, Institutional through this data.
- Fee Project - The purpose of this project will be to build a standardised fee schedule. To do so the candidate will need to put together a committee and run the committee. This is where market knowledge could be useful.
Candidate Profile:
- Knowledge of Investment Management industry. The successful candidate might have an interest in the markets / knowledge of different products would be useful. Qualifications such as the IMC aren't essential but would be a plus.
- Project Management skills are key. The ability to manage a project from start to finish. including meeting deadlines, communicating to necessary parties and being delivery focused.
- Analytical Skills are essential for the projects. The successful candidate may come from a finance background and be looking to get closer to the business / sales.
- Good Excel/ Systems.
- Strong Communication skills.
- Ability to liaise at Senior Management level.
- Must be delivery focused.
- Have Problem Solving skills.
- Due to the nature of project candidates will be required to be flexible on hours.
