PRODUCT MANAGER – UCITS INC; ETFS, GLOBAL ASSET MANAGERS, TO £110,000 PLUS PACKAGE, CITY

Background

In order to maintain the competitive advantage this innovative development affords them, it is essential that product development is supported by robust corporate and regulatory processes. The Product Governance Department is accordingly responsible for the development, governance and maintenance of all pooled product vehicles/entities and their management vehicles as appropriate.

The Product Governance Departmentis composed of the Dublin Fund Services, Cayman Fund Services, the Retail Funds Services and its’ ETF Services teams. Together they provide input and advice to the wider business team on the most appropriate product structures and solutions, facilitate the production of the fund documentation to launch new products and ensure all appropriate regulatory and corporate approvals are secured prior to launch. Post launch, the teams are responsible for the ongoing corporate and regulatory support of the funds as well as registering and listing (where applicable) the products in other jurisdictions. The teams also have responsibility for ensuring an appropriate governance framework operates across the Company. In connection with this process the teams assess the initial and ongoing requirements associated with such registrations and in particular these requirements will be assessed against any potential impact on future product development.

The Agenda, coordination, preparation and review of all board materials for Board meetings of the Funds and Management Companies is facilitated by the Product Governance Department.

The Department through, legal counsel or local agents maintains relationships with Primary and Secondary Regulators and stock exchanges in several jurisdictions. Procedures are constantly revised to ensure legal and regulatory changes in jurisdictions are complied with.

There is now a requirement to appoint one senior Product Manager to support the ETF Services team within the Product Governance Department. It is a high profile role that is business critical given the importance of delivering products in a timely fashion but within a robust governance structure that protects the integrity of the firm as viewed by their Regulators, competitors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide input and technical advice to the ETF Product Development team and the Product Architecture team on the most appropriate product structures and solutions
• Establish new or changed product structures and solutions. Facilitate production of legal documentation
• Direct the implementation of product change
• Co-ordinate and maintain Fund registrations and listing applications
• Support the Boards’ of the investment companies or management companies as appropriate
• Support the strong governance and control framework in place across the organisation Europe-wide with robust processes and procedures in place to meet all regulatory and statutory obligations

Essential Experience

Successful candidates are likely to have worked in the Product Management or the Legal Department’s of investment managers, have an in-depth knowledge of investment management, regulatory jurisdictions and the institutional pension fund and private client marketplace. Key personal attributes will also include a high level of intellectual agility and creativity.

• Robust knowledge of the Irish regulatory and corporate environment for investment fund
• Strong product experience on UCITS funds (including ETFs)
• Good understanding of the portfolio management uses and risks inherent in a wide range of exchange traded and OTC derivatives
• Very good communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business, operations and suppliers at all levels of management up to and including board level
• Ability to lead and direct change
• Project Management skills desirable, attention to detail essential
• Team management experience
