HR ADMIN WITH ADVANCED EXCEL, FINANCE CO, TO £35,000 PLUS EXCELLENT BENS, CITY

This is a really great opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator with excellent advanced Excel skills including the ability to work with V-Look-ups, pivot tables, create graphs and charts and format data to join a friendly, progressive HR function and work closely with colleagues as part of this professional team.  You will be supporting the HR team in all administrative and organisational requirements, working with the relevant Business Partners in managing regular and adhoc projects e.g. Compensation/Performance management cycles and be the sole member of staff responsible for MI and compensation analysis.

Administration

  • Assisting the HR Business Partners with queries relating to HR policies / procedures and other HR projects as and when required
  • First point of contact for queries from colleagues / clients, in particular being first point of contact in providing procedural guidance on a range of HR processes / administration issues on behalf of HR Business Partners where necessary, ensuring a proactive, professional and efficient service is received by the business
  • Ensuring payroll files are updated on a monthly basis
  • Ensuring personnel files are maintained in line with data protection legislation
  • Preparing references for ex-employees via agents
  • Managing all relevant documentation in relation to benefits statements and personal data
  • Booking rooms for meetings as and when required.

Management Information/Reporting and systems management

  • Accurately produce the monthly headcount and MI to be circulated to deadlines
  • Prepare and analyse KRl's and cost data for inclusion in the various monthly committee papers
  • Managing HR system upgrades liaising with the HR team and IT as needed to ensure HR MI and HR systems support the businesses and HR requirements
  • Work with the relevant Business Partner in maintaining the in-house performance management and compensation system ensuring that it is fit for purpose and the data contained within it is accurate (on a real time basis)
  • Maintain the HR database ensuring that any database system upgrades are relevant for the business and the data contained therein is accurate.

Compensation

  • Working with the Business Partner responsible for Compensation and Benefits throughout the various compensation cycles conducting analysis / reporting for circulation to the HR team and wider business.

Recruitment

  • Working with the Business Partners on managing the recruitment administration across all business areas; collating CV's and files, booking of rooms, collating interview notes and feedback forms from the interviewers

Communications

  • Manage the department intranet site making suggestions for improvements and ensuring that all data is put on the site accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Manage the external HR internet site, making suggestions and managing key stakeholders.

Technical Skills/Specialist Knowledge skills

  • Proven experience of working with advanced Excel functions and the ability to use V Look-ups, pivot tables, create graphs and charts and format data.  Good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint etc.
  • Working knowledge of HR systems (particularly PeopleSoft) and reporting
  • Experience of running and developing MI reporting
  • Ability to analyse and identify patterns in data, good analytical skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the annual HR cycle of key events
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the employment life cycle and of managing this from an administrative perspective
  • An aptitude and demonstrable motivation for continuous improvement in HR processes
  • High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines; excellent organisation skills
  • Experience of basic compensation analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate an interest in HR as a specialism and a career
