HR MANAGER, CONTRACT, START ASAP, TO £62k + BENS, FINANCE, CITY

Our client is seeking an experienced CIPD qualified HR Manager to join their team and support a broad range of HR responsibilities for c225 non-IT staff across all levels. This is a 10 month contract role starting ASAP and requires candidates to be both strategic and hands-on.  Working within this professional HR function, reporting into the HR Director you will provide a high quality and timely HR service to designated business areas to support the business services in the execution of their daily activities ensuring that all key result areas are delivered on time, quality and budget. Responsibilities are varied and will include;

Compensation and Benefits; HR Support – Generalist and to specific business areas working in conjunction with other areas of HR; Disciplinary and Grievance; Employment Law; Employee Relations; Internet Analysis; Operational Risk Control and Compliance and various HR projects. 

Essential Skills / Experience

  • CIPD Qualified HR expert
  • Experience of compensation and benefits including managing an annual salary review process from start to finish
  • In depth understanding of UK employment legislation
  • Previous experience in using an on line compensation planning tool
  • Practical experience of managing disciplinary and grievance meetings
  • Advanced level of proficiency in MS office particularly Excel and its’ functions
  • Advanced level of proficiency in using a HR Database
  • Basic understanding of Pensions
  • Strong team leadership and facilitation skills
  • Service quality and value orientated
  • Good influencing and two way communication skills with line management and with peers
  • To be an HR expert and have the ability to solve problems.
  • Confident – able to communicate across all levels and deal with challenging situations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver results to quality, time and cost
  • Ability to influence decision making at a senior level across a broad range of external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to work within small teams and with extended teams across different parts of HR and the business.
