CASH RECONCILIATIONS, GLOBAL FINANCE, TO £35,000 PLUS EXCELLENT BENS, MAYFAIR

Our client is a leading Global Financial Services firm. Global Wealth Management and Business Banking combining one of the World’s leading Wealth Management businesses, a leading Retail Bank and one of the top Private Client Businesses in the World providing a comprehensive array of customised banking and securities services Globally. They are currently seeking an experienced Cash Reconciliations Clerk to work within their Cash Reconciliations Team which is part of Ops.

The team are responsible for ensuring that records of internal cash accounts held in the UK Wealth Management internal accounts are reconciled between internal systems and external agents at a frequency and standard that satisfies both Operational and Regulatory requirements. The reconciliation deliverables are performed using a range of bespoke tools and processes to ensure appropriate identification, investigation, and escalation of any discrepancies.

The Role
The following tasks are required when completing the reconciliation of internal/ external Nostro cash accounts.

  • Matching of agent transactions and holdings against our internal records, recording any discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate records of all reconciliation items, enabling the generation of statistical data
  • Liaising with Custodians and across internal business areas to ensure resolution of any cash discrepancies in an effective and timely manner
  • Identifying and escalating against potential items or areas of Operational risk
  • General administration duties

Experience Required

  • Experience within Asset/Cash reconciliations within a financial institution
  • Effective communication and organisation skills
  • Microsoft Excel experience, to a standard that will support the creation and maintenance of complex spreadsheets for statistical data and reconciliation records
  • Highly motivated individual who has a strong track record of reconciliation experience being able deliver effectively against large increases in volumes of work within the required timeline
  • Able to demonstrate levels of flexibility and work within designated timelines
  • The role is within a team orientated environment and entrant will be expected to integrate and pace and support the team in all aspects of workload deliverables
  • Preferably educated to A level standard or educational equivalent
  • Securities Institute Investment Administration Qualification would be of benefit.
