CLIENT RELATIONS ASSOCIATE (UK), GLOBAL ASSET MANAGEMENT, £35,000 - £45,000 PLUS EXCELLENT BENS, MAYFAIR

Summary

The purpose of this role is to support the Client Relations Advisors in servicing UK Institutional and sub-advisory business.

The successful candidate will have some experience within the financial sector, be a motivated self-starter eager to learn about the client servicing side of a global institutional asset management business. Candidates must be detail-oriented and possess strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills. The ability to work successfully in a team is a must. An undergraduate university degree is essential (1 st or 2:1). A strong work ethic and healthy ambition for responsibility is essential.

Responsibilities

The UK division of Institutional Investments is comprised of client-focused, consultant-focused and marketing professionals dedicated to building and servicing an institutional client base in the UK. Within the division Client Relations Associates work in a team environment, comprised of Advisors, Associates and Assistants, in support of client service and prospecting efforts in these regions.

The Associate coordinates all client activity and provides the central point of reference for internal and external contacts associated with a client relationship. Associates are in constant communication with various internal departments to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded—they are the advocates for the client. This includes building effective and trusted relationships first and foremost with their Advisors, but also with portfolio management, operations and client reporting, legal and compliance, among others.

Associates are responsible for handling all client, consultant and prospect requests specific to the relationships to which they are assigned. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Managing the new account take-on process
  • Facilitating contributions to and withdrawals from client portfolios
  • Ensuring timely and accurate client reporting
  • Producing client service and prospecting materials such as presentations and correspondence
  • Collaborating with colleagues in other departments to successfully resolve client issues
  • Maintaining client files and databases
Skills / Experience required
  • Degree educated
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, detail-orientation
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines, to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Candidates should have an interest in the financial industry and must be bright, energetic and have a can-do attitude. Previous client servicing and industry experience is desirable, but not essential
  • Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
